Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb

Traditional thumri “Yaad Piya Ki Aaye” that was made famous by Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, rendered by the Wadali brothers. The Wadali Brothers (Puranchand Wadali & Pyarelal Wadali) are Sufi singers and musicians from Guru ki Wadali in the Amritsar District in Punjab, India.

Kaushiki Chakrabarty sings ‘Yaad Piya Ki Aaye’, a semi-classical thumri-piece. The song was created, sung and made famous by Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. This is a recording of Kaushiki’s concert in the Royal Tropical Institute of Amsterdam, on April 15th, 2007.
